Behavioural Science Fellows 

Impact Canada’s Centre of Expertise, housed within the Privy Council Office, is looking to grow its cohort of Behavioural Science Fellows to inform and improve Government of Canada policies and programs.

Behavioural Science (BeSci) Fellows will be employed by the Privy Council Office and will be embedded within other federal government departments and agencies to apply behavioural science to public policy issues and services across a variety of policy domains such as health, environment and climate change, economic and social development, transportation, and financial inclusion. BeSci Fellows will have a unique opportunity to influence change, generate evidence and impact on priority policy issues, and grow knowledge and skills in behavioural science within the federal government.

The Fine Print

Duration Term, 12-24 months
Open to Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents, and persons residing and authorized to work in Canada.

Education

A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics. Candidates must always have a university degree. The courses for the specialization do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

A Master’s or PhD in psychology, social sciences, neuroscience or related field would be considered an asset.

Remuneration EC-06 ($108,608 - $125,959)
Written evaluation

Written evaluations will be administered between March and April 2024. Alternative arrangements will only be made under exceptional circumstances. Applicants screened into the written evaluation phase of the process will be notified shortly after the closing date.

Candidates must obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance as part of a condition of employment.
