Strengthening Social Finance

Introduction

The Department of Employment and Social Development is designing the Social Finance Fund: a $755M commitment to create a vibrant, self-sustaining social finance market in Canada. An Impact Canada Fellow worked with the Social Innovation and Community Development Directorate to develop the systems to measure the financial and social performance of the fund over time, to assess the growth of the Canadian social finance market, the increased access to affordable finance for social purpose organizations, and ultimately the social and environmental impacts generated for our communities.
