Impact Canada Fellowship Challenge Prize Specialist

The Impact and Innovation Unit (IIU) is looking to grow its cohort of Fellows to inform and improve Government of Canada policies and programs. For the first time, and in recognition of a growing demand for support, we are launching a Challenge Prize stream to build capacity to plan, implement and evaluate Challenge Prize approaches.

Fellows will help identify, develop, implement, and evaluate Challenge Prizes that will help to advance existing program and policy priorities. Interested? Read on to learn more!

The Fine Print



Term, 12-24 months

Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents

Location of work

National Capital Region (select few placements across Canada)

Linguistic Profile

English essential, French essential, bilingual imperative BBB/BBB


A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics. An advanced degree or designation with specialization in social science, psychology, business or related field would be considered an asset (e.g., Masters of Business Administration, Master of Arts).


EC-06 ($92,483-$107,258)

Written evaluation

Written evaluations will be administered between May 6, 2019 and May 10, 2019. Alternative arrangements will only be made under exceptional circumstances. Applicants screened into the written evaluation phase of the process will be notified shortly after the closing date.

Condition of employment: Must obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance.
